Udinese coach Andrea Stramaccioni said he was happy enough with his sides 1-1 draw with Chievo at the Stadio Bentegodi on Sunday afternoon.

A late first half strike by Chievo striker Sergio Pellissier was cancelled out by a second half own-goal by the Flying Donkeys’ centre-back Bostjan Cesar, which leave the Zebrette 14th in Serie A.

“I believe Chievo have done more than us in the first half; on the goal we were very slow to react,” Stramaccioni told RAI Sport after the game.

“That gives them something to defend but I think we deserved the equalizer as we put them under pressure in the second half.

“We then tried to win the game as we put an extra attacker on but I’m happy enough with the point in the end.”

Udinese now face AC Milan next weekend as they look to move up the standing heading towards the end of the season.
