Former Chievo striker Cyril Thereau was pleased with his new side Udinese’s performance after they earned a draw in Verona on Sunday afternoon.

The Frenchman left the Stadio Bentegodi for Friuli in the summer and was subject to some whistling and catcalls during the game.

He admitted to Udinese Channel after the match that he was unfazed by his reception.

“I didn’t leave here very well,” he admitted, “and maybe I’ve deserved this. The important thing is that we got a point.”

“Chievo are always a difficult proposition and after they took the lead they were more so, but in the second half with two strikers we created some danger, especially when Toto [Di Natale] came on.”

“Now we are thinking about the next challenge,” he concluded, “we want to give our fans a victory.”
