Ahead of this weekend’s Turin derby, Torino skipper Kamil Glik has admitted that despite transfer rumors, he could never sign for Juventus.
The Polish international has been in sensational form this season and is Europe’s leading scoring defender, having hit the net seven times so far in Serie A.
“I could never join Juventus,” he told Tuttosport. “I’m Torino though and through, it would be unacceptable.”
Regarding the derby, the ex-Bari player said: “Sure, we respect Juve but this could be the right time to beat them. They are dominating [the league] but we need to win to get into Europe. It still hurts having lost the previous derby at the last moment.”
A dramatic Andrea Pirlo blockbuster at the end of the game gave the Bianconeri a 2-1 win back in November when the two sides last faced each other.
