The Argentine was speaking ahead of the May 4 ‘Zanetti and Friends’ match at the San Siro that will be held for the PUPI Foundation, and while the 41-year-old admitted he was happy to receive word on the retiring of his number, he was looking forward to the star studded affair in the name of charity.

“I want to thank president [Erick Thohir] and the Inter family who have also shown my affection. I am really looking forward to this match next Monday, most of all for my foundation.

“As soon as they asked me to organize this friendly I said yes, I can’t wait to return to play at the San Siro.”
