AC Milan ended their season at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in style by strolling to a 3-0 victory over Torino on Sunday night.

Stephan El Shaarway marked his return to the starting lineup with a first half strike, his first goal for the Rossoneri since November 2014. Despite being reduced to 10 men thanks to Cristian Zaccardo’s red card late in the first half, the Rossoneri would double their advantage on Giampaolo Pazzini’s 100th Serie A goal via the penalty spot after Cristian Molinaro was also shown red for a foul on Marco van Ginkel.

El Shaarawy would cap his and Milan’s great night off with a cool finish soon after to secure all three points and help the Rossoneri move up to 10th in the Serie A standings.

Omar El Kaddouri had the first real chance from the opening exchanges, finding space and firing from just inside area however his effort was well blocked by a diving Nigel de Jong.

Milan would open the scoring after 18 minutes after a great cross by Zaccardo found El Shaarawy on the edge of the box. The forward controlled and turned before firing past a diving Daniele Padelli to open the scoring.

The Rossoneri continued to press with Pazzini and El Shaarawy working a nice one-two, but the latter could only send his shot wide of the mark.

Despite Torino producing very little in the final third, Milan would enter half-time with 10 men after Zaccardo was shown a red card for a last man foul on one of the Granata’s few forays forward.

With Cristian Molinaro clean on goal, the Milan defender stuck his leg out and took down the Granata fullback leaving the Rossoneri with a numerical disadvantage to start the second half.

The disadvantage would only last until the 56th minute as Molinaro himself would see red for a last man foul on Marco van Ginkel, leaving both teams with 10 men and the home side with a penalty.

Pazzini would step home and send Padelli diving the wrong way, scoring his 100th Serie A goal in the process while increasing Milan’s advantage to 2-0.

It would soon be 3-0 with El Shaarawy heaping more misery on a dysfunctional Torino backline. The Italian worked a great one-two with van Ginkel before sliding in behind the Granata backline and firing past a helpless Padelli.

The final minutes were played out to little fanfare, though there was enough time for Christian Abbiati to get into the action and deny El Kaddouri from close range before referee Paolo Valeri blew an end to proceedings soon after.
