The Serie A’s top goalscorer of 2013/14 has failed to repeat such a feat in the Bundesliga, notching just seven goals in 21 appearances in league and European competition, while Borussia Dortmund have recovered to seventh in the league table after a disastrous start.
Form such as this opens up the possibility of a departure, with Der BVB considering loaning the player to another side with a clause to sign the attacker permanently, which, according to Tuttosport, interests the Rossoneri.
So far, Milan are believed to be in early discussions with the player’s representatives to gauge the feasibility of a deal before submitting a formal offer to Dortmund for Immobile, who has not scored a league goal since December.
