Both AC Milan and Inter are interested in signing out-of-favour Atletico Madrid midfielder Mario Suarez.
The 28-year-old’s future is up in the air after just 11 league starts in the 2014/15 campaign as Diego Simeone preferred other options while the Rojiblancos finished third having won the Primera Division title the previous season.
According to Spanish tabloid AS, Suarez’s agent is set for discussions with the Atletico hierarchy with regards to the player’s future, to which the Rossoneri and Nerazzurri will be keen onlookers due to their interest in signing the defensive midfielder.
Recent reports have also speculated on Milan’s desire to bring Mario Mandzukic to the San Siro after Atletico Madrid put the striker up for sale after one year in the Spanish capital.
Diavolo vice-president Adriano Galliani is in Madrid for formal negotiations with Atletico chairman Gil Andrea Berta, where both Mandzukic and Suarez will be the subject of discussions.
