AC Milan defender Salvatore Bocchetti is targeting another win ahead of the final Serie A match of the season against Atalanta at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia.

The Rossoneri defeated Torino 3-0 in the previous round of fixtures, but are looking to avoid a third successive league loss to the Nerazzurri for the first time since 1941.

“Another win would be fantastic for the fans, we’ll do our very best because we always play to win every match,” the 28-year-old told the Milan Channel.

“Let’s see how things go in this Saturday’s fixture against Atalanta. As always, we will give our very all.

Bocchetti also assessed his time so far at Milan following his arrival on-loan from Spartak Moscow in the winter transfer window.

“I’m pleased to have been given this chance to play for Milan,” he continued.

“There is a bit of regret though because we could have done more seeing the players we have in this squad.

“Left back isn’t my preferred position, but I will always give my all. I am a centre back and everyone knows this.

“When I’m called upon, I always try and give 100 per cent. It’s down to me to give my all and show that I can also play in that position.”
