Alessio Cerci AC MilanAC Milan winger Alessio Cerci will see his loan spell with the Rossoneri cut short as he is deemed undesirable by the club, though he could find himself playing in the south of Italy for the next season with Napoli waiting on the horizon.

Cerci, who joined parent club Atletico Madrid for €15 million in the summer from Torino, endured a disappointing spell in the first half of the season in Spain and consequently joined Milan on an 18-month swap deal with Fernando Torres, however the 27-year-old failed to impress and has found progress even harder in Milan.

The Italian is now set to leave the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, though according to Sky Sport 24, Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has been forced the burden of finding a new team for Cerci to complete his remaining year loan with after a meeting with directors of the Spanish club.

Potential suitors are of abundance as former employers Torino are rumoured to be interested in bringing the player back to Turin, while southerners Napoli are also reported eager to land a deal for the player who has been on their radars for the past few seasons.

The Partenopei openly tracked the winger in the previous summer market, and could now be poised to take in their long-time target.

However, despite a continuation of interest shown, a deal for the Italy international is only likely to occur should Spaniard Jose Callejon depart from the club.

Cerci has scored one goal for Milan in 18 Serie A appearances.
