Alessio Cerci AC MilanAC Milan are preparing an offer for Torino’s Matteo Darmian in exchange for Alessio Cerci.

Winger Cerci, who has had a poor season with both Milan and Atletico Madrid, is said to be wanted by Torino, the club he left only last season.

According to Tuttosport however, the exchange could present many problems as the Rossoneri do not own the player they wish to exchange.

The deal would be on a loan basis but Granata president Urbano Cairo is said to be hesitant about not cashing in on Darmian due to the high level of interest for his signature.

The swap would need the agreement of Cerci’s parent club Atletico Madrid, who currently have Milan striker Fernando Torres on loan.

A permanent deal would have to involve all three clubs and all three players in order to be successful.

A decision on whether the deal will go ahead will likely be decided by Darmian’s choice as to whether he returns to his old club.
