Arturo Vidal - JuventusAccording to reports in England, Arsenal are on the trail of Juventus’ Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal.

There were rumours that the 28-year-old midfielder was on his way to Liverpool following the departure of the Reds legend Steven Gerrard, but Vidal is apparently not drawn to the idea of a transfer to Anfield.

The Daily Express reports that now Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger will attempt to lure the midfielder to London but is aware that it will take a huge chunk out of their finances.

It is also thought the French tactician will have difficulty attracting the Bianconeri’s No. 23 to the Premier League given the Italian champions recent good run in the Champions League, and especially if they end up being the eventual victors.

Vidal himself had also reiterated the fact that he would like to remain in Turin for the forseeable future, and with Juve set for a €100 million Champions League windfall, they will not need to sell during the close season.

Vidal has been a key player in the Old Lady’s challenge to attain the treble this season, making 44 appearances whilst netting eight goals and notching four assists in all competitions.
