A number of out-of-contract players from across Europe are being lined up by Roma for free transfers in the summer.

With pressure on their ability to qualify for the Champions League, the Lupi know that a revival of their playing staff will be necessary in the close season, especially after January’s attempts to reinforce the squad were deemed unsuccessful by fans and pundits alike.

Reported by Il Messaggero, director of football Walter Sabtini has already tied up agreements to sign Marseille winger Andre Ayew and Lille’s experienced midfielder Rio Mavuba – who was coached by Rudi Garcia at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy.

Furthermore, the Giallorossi are pressing ahead with plans to take Fiorentina goalkeeper Neto and long-term target Yevhen Konoplyanka from Europa League finalists Dnipro, when their respective contracts expire at the end of the 2014/15 season.
