Barcelona forward Neymar says Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has made a huge impression on him since his move to Europe from Brazilian club Santos and thinks he could reach the same level as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in the coming years.
The two are set to come face to face in the Champions League final in Berlin on June 6 and the little Canarinho forward is wary of the midfielders talents, and expects his side to keep a tight rein on the Frenchman come the big night.
“Pogba is the player that has impressed me most since I came to Europe,” Neymar told SportWeek.
“Besides Messi and Ronaldo, I would say Pogba is the player that could get close to their level in Europe in the next few years.
“I admire him because of his quality and personality.”
The Barca front-man was asked about the upcoming Champions League final with the Bianconeri and the danger they pose.
“It’s going to be a very though game, they have so many great player’s, Andrea Pirlo, Alvaro Morata and Carlos Tevez who I remember when he played for Corinthians in Brazil,” he added.
