Bayern Munich goalkeeper set to return to Napoli

Pepe Reina - NapoliSpanish goalkeeper Pepe Reina is reportedly going to leave German giants Bayern Munich and return to Serie A club Napoli.

The 32-year-old has been the back-up to Manuel Neuer at Bayern this season and he has only played in three German Bundesliga fixtures in 2014-15.

According to Fichajes.net, Napoli have made a deal to sign Reina on a permanent basis and the only thing missing now is announcement confirming the goalkeeper’s signing.

Although Reina has expressed that he would like to stay in Munich, he has decided to sign for Napoli because he would be expected to a regular starter for the Partenopei and his contract will last until June 2018.

Reina first played for Napoli in the 2013-14 season, which was also Rafa Benitez’s first season as Partenopei coach. He played 30 Serie A games and five Champions League matches in goal for Napoli.
