Bayern Munich have tabled an offer for versatile Torino wing-back Matteo Darmian in an effort to take the former AC Milan defender away from Serie A.
The 25-year-old has been in impressive form for Giampiero Ventura’s men this term, and has also attracted the attention of several clubs from within Italy as well as across Europe.
According to La Stampa, the Bavarians have submitted a €17 million bid for the Italian international, which is just shy of the €20 million reportedly requested by Granata president Urbano Cairo. It is believed Bayern face competition from a number of sides, including Torino’s local rivals Juventus.
Darmian has made 32 league appearances for Toro this season, while also featuring on 10 occasions in Europa League action.
