Barbara BerlusconiAC Milan director Barbara Berlusconi, daughter of Rossoneri owner Silvio Berlusconi, has faith in her father’s ability to bring the glory times back to the club.

The 30-year-old has been on the board of directors at the San Siro since 2011 and is looking forward to the building of a new stadium in the city as well as a potential big-money investment in the Diavolo from abroad.

“[Silvio Berlusconi’s] latest statements show his will to bring back the great Milan [and] we expect to be playing in the new stadium by the 2018/19 season,” she told reporters.

“The contact with potential investors have brought back his desire and when a decision is made we must be sure of what we are doing.

“I think my father has made an important choice to protect the fans.”

Fans of Milan have staged numerous protests about the direction of the club during the 2014/15 season, which they will end in mid-table after facing Atalanta on Saturday, and speculation persists about re-appointing former coach Carlo Ancelotti.

“We will see, but only once this season has finished.”
