Newly promoted Carpi’s Kevin Lasagna has revealed his delight to be playing in Serie A next season, having already pledged his future to the Emilia-Romagna based club.

The Biancorossi earned their first ever promotion to Italy’s top flight after finishing first in Serie B a month ago, and the euphoria of such an event still remains within the players, most notably with Lasagna.

The 22-year-old enjoyed a fruitful first season in Serie B after having joined from Italy’s lower ranks in the summer, and now faces a new debut along with his club in Serie A.

“It will be amazing,” the striker told in an interview with the Gazzetta di Modena.

“I really hope I am given the chance to play in the top flight, and maybe I’ll even get to play at the San Siro.”

Lasagna has only made nine starts in 29 appearances for Carpi this season, though has managed to score five goals helping his side to their promotion.
