After playing a limited role in Lazio’s challenge for Champions League qualification this season, Luis Pedro Cavanda still insists he feels a valued member of the squad.
Admitting that in the past ill-discipline has sometimes led to his omission from the Biancocelesti first-team, the 24-year-old believes he has grown as a person and learnt from those mistakes.
“I have paid for my mistakes,” Cavanda told Dhnet. “I have learned a lot from people in the squad. Lazio wanted to return to Europe and after a poor year played the market accordingly.
“I think hard work pays more, although getting continuity is not easy.
“I’m happy with my performance and I do not feel anything like a reserve, in fact I have often proved to be ideal [in the role].
“In the past I have made mistakes, it is true, but I’ve paid and have now grown up, people should not judge without knowing me personally.”
