Juventus midfielder Andrea Pirlo is a possible transfer target for Chelsea should the player decide to leave Turin at the end of the season.

The 35-year-old has been linked with a move to England and the MLS in America in recent weeks as the summer transfer window approaches.

According to The Metro, Chelsea have contacted the Bianconeri about a possible transfer with Pirlo ready for a new challenge outside of Italy, where he has spent his entire career to date.

The former AC Milan midfielder will make a decision regarding his future at the end of the season with an exit from Serie A the most likely outcome.

The deep-lying playmaker has made 117 appearances for The Old Lady since joining from Milan in 2011, winning four league titles and scoring 16 goals during that period.

Juventus face current European Champions Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-final first leg at the Juventus Stadium in Turin on Tuesday evening.
