Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini has admitted that the Coppa Italia final against Lazio will be special for Juventus.

Chiellini has been part of Juventus’ four consecutive scudetto triumphs but Juve have not won the Coppa Italia since 1995 and Chiellini is desperate to end the 20 year wait.

“It will be a very special game for Juventus,” Chiellini told reporters at a pre-match press conference ahead of the final in Rome.

“It means so much because as a club we have not won the trophy for so long.

“I have been at the club for 10 years and in that time we have only reached one final, which we lost to Napoli. We are desperate to win the trophy to end the wait.

“It is impossible to get bored of winning titles at such a great club like Juventus.

“I was at Juventus when we went six years without winning anything so I really appreciate every title.

“Italian football is on the rise. We are in the Champions League final and it was great to see Napoli and Fiorentina do so well in the Europa League.”
