With the future of Vincenzo Montella remaining uncertain as head coach of Fiorentina, a handful of Italian coaches lead the rumours of becoming potential replacements.
Montella has overseen an impressive season that has resulted in again securing Europa League football with a victory over Palermo on Sunday, but the Italian remains unsure about his future with the Viola.
According to La Nazione, Chievo coach Rolando Maran and Sassuolo coach Eusebio Di Francesco have surfaced as logical successors to Montella and are admired by club owners Diego and Andrea Della Valle.
Previously rumoured candidates included Roberto Donadoni and Luciano Spalletti, but have since been snubbed due to Donadoni’s loyalty to the Gialloblu and Spalletti’s negotiations seeming too difficult.
