The ongoing saga surrounding the sale of AC Milan looks set to be finalised and completed in the coming weeks, with a structured agreement between current owner Silvio Berlusconi and Thai businessman Bee Taechaubol.

Berlusconi has been in talks with potential buyers for some time now, and current negotiations between the former Italian Prime Minister and Thai businessman – otherwise known as Mr Bee – are believed to be nearing completion.

According to Tuttomercatoweb.com, the initial deal will see Taechaubol take ownership of 30 percent of Milan, with his stake rising to the majority share of 51 percent should the Rossoneri win the Serie A title next year.

This time dependant aspect of the agreement is not where the clauses stop, either.

Should Milan fail to perform well in both domestic and European competition during the first three years of the Thai businessman’s reign, Berlusconi has the option of buying back his shares at a discounted price.

It is believed that Berlusconi is looking to ensure that the best interests of AC Milan are at the forefront of any deal, and any potential buyer must convince Berlusconi this is the case, before he will agree to hand over a majority stake in the Serie A club.
