Cesena coach Domenico Di Carlo has revealed that he believes Fiorentina have greater technical quality but his Cesena side remain defiant despite a 3-1 defeat.
The Cavallucci Marini have not won since early March and were defeated through two Josip Ilicic goals and a close range Alberto Gilardino effort, before Cesena pulled back a consolation through Alejandro Rodriguez.
“Fiorentina came out and showed their great technical quality which greatly superior to our own,” Di Carlo told Rai Sport after the conclusion of the match.
“We played quickly for the first quarter of an hour but we were not good at understanding that the game was changing.
“Fiorentina crushed our momentum and they deserved victory.
“In the second half we changed and showed our quality and we were always competitive in the match despite conceding three goals.”
