Sassuolo coach Eusebio Di Francesco will have a contract extension confirmed in the coming days, according to reports.

The Neroverdi coach has already secured a record Serie A finish for the side in 2014/15 that could reach the heady heights of tenth after Sunday’s final match.

It is on Sunday, when Sassuolo host Genoa, that Sky Sport Italia report Di Francesco’s contract extension will be announced; the 45-year-old’s current deal expires in 2016 and the Italian has been subject to speculation about a move to AC Milan or Roma in recent months.

The Modena-based club are currently experiencing their most successful era in their 93-year history, having gained their first promotion to Italy’s second-tier in 2008 under current Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri.

Di Francesco was at the helm when Sassuolo entered Serie A for the first ever time in 2014, winning promotion from Serie B.
