Di Natale - UdineseAntonio Di Natale has admitted that he only has one regret in his football career, that of missing out on playing a part in Italy’s memorable 2006 World Cup winning side.

The evergreen 37-year-old has yet to make a decision about his future beyond the summer with Udinese and has been in a reflective mood lately, speaking of his career and key moments, like when he turned down Juventus.

“It lasted all of a minute [to turn down Juventus], the time to talk with my family and then I decided to stay here [in Udine],” Di Natale told Corriere dello Sport.

“I wanted to continue at this club and I’m happy in this city.

“My only regret is not taking part in the 2006 World Cup, that we won.

“My future? I have not yet actually decided what to do,” he continued.

“I am hoping to finish the season well and then I will take a rest and take some time to reflect.

“The Pozzo family have given me so much and I’m happy to have helped the team grow and I’m proud to be considered one of the most important player’s in Udinese’s history.

“The important thing is to work enthusiastically and never overlook the details.

“I made sacrifices to become a pro, today youngsters have to make fewer sacrifices, but it’s not their fault.”

Yeah and I don’t regret rejecting Beyonce Knowles when she was hitting on me way back when. I prefer a completely average girlfriend.
