AC Milan youth player Marcello Jones is hoping to secure a contract in the coming months.

The 16-year-old who was born in Cornwall attended a Milan summer training camp three years ago.

Speaking to the Daily Record, the Allievi Nazionali attacker revealed his close ties with Scottish side Celtic.

“Before I came to Milan, I took part in a few Celtic soccer camps, who were keen to keep me,” Jones began.

“But once the invite came to join Milan I couldn’t turn it down. It was a fantastic opportunity for me.”

Despite his affinity for the Scottish club Jones is intent on penning a contract with the Rossoneri.

“I’m in talks with Milan about my contract, I should know my future in a few weeks,” he claimed.

Jones has also attracted interest from Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester City and Arsenal.

I’d do your homework before posting. Yes he was born in England but he’s not English. Both his parents and grandparents are Scottish!!!

  2. Little Scotlander says:

Smart man Mike. Being born in England = being Scottish.

Born in England means you are English!!

Scotland needs to f off if that is the level of intelligence there!!

  3. Michael Cole says:

So Little Scotlander, teery Butcher, not english, Justin Rose not english,John Barnes Not English, half the English Cricket and Rugby teams not english, is that what your point is?

  4. Little Scotlander says:

TERRY butcher, John Barnes played football for England through parentage… doesnt mean they are English.

Eder, Osvaldo and Amauri played football for Italy DOESNT MEAN THEY ARE ITALIAN!!

Just because someone parents are from somewhere, doesnt mean that makes the nationality of the person the same.

Yer man Marcello Jones was born in England, so can play for England or Scotland. If he stays in Italy long enough, he can play for Italy.

So how does this mean he has snubbed Celtic?

He plays in Italy and has never been subject to an interest from Celtic
