Juventus defender Patrice Evra has praised teammate Carlos Tevez, and has said that his side must prepare well for the return fixture against Real Madrid.

La Vecchia Signora defeated the Spaniards 2-1 at the Juventus Stadium in the first leg of their semi-final on Tuesday night, with Tevez getting the winning goal from a penalty, and Evra has said that the Argentine international is a brilliant player.

“He’s a champion and he’s working hard, he’s a very good professional,” the 33-year-old told ITV Sport.

“He’s had a fantastic year, but his and our main target is to win the Champions League.”

The French international warned that the victory on Tuesday wasn’t enough, and that the side must now focus on the second leg at the Santiago Bernabeu in order to have success.

“We did good stuff in the first leg of the semi-final, and we need to make sure we get ready for the second leg.”
