Artem Fedetsky - DniproDnipro defender Artem Fedetsky has made an astonishing remark, stating that Gonzalo Higuain said he would quit football if Napoli lost to the Ukrainian side.

Napoli lost 2-1 to Dnipro in the semi-final of the Europa League and thus exited the competition.

“Before the game Higuain said that if Napoli lost he would give up football,” Fedetsky told reporters after the game.

“Maybe he did not think that we are a proper team, but he was completely wrong.

“I wonder if he will keep his word. I doubt it.

“Me and all the players have dreamed of getting to the Europa League final.

“It is fantastic for the club and the city to have reached this great occasion.

“The victory is for our national forces who are defending the country at this difficult time.

“They are the real heroes.”
