Cagliari coach Gianluca Festa has said that his side do not want to have any regrets ahead of their crucial match against Parma at the Stadio Sant’Elia on Monday.

Festa, who succeeded Zden?k Zeman on April 22, is tasked with saving the Sardinian side from relegation and knows that they have a difficult task on their hands as they remain eight points adrift of 17th placed Atalanta with just five games remaining this season.

“I will watch the Atalanta match, but we have to go into our game quietly,” said the Rossoblu coach.

“We have a home game after two away matches and for me it is a dream debut as coach of Cagliari at the Sant’Elia.”

Financially beleaguered Parma go into the game having already been relegated but Roberto Donadoni’s side have refused to lie down this season and will provide a tough test for Cagliari.

“I hope that tomorrow will be a beautiful day,” said Festa

“We do not want the year to end with any regrets, we have to give 100 percent, and then we can look back

“The team has done a lot of athletic work in recent months, but now is the time to promote team spirit and to use the ball.”
