Fiorentina are hopeful of luring former Roma and Zenit Saint Petersburg coach Luciano Spalletti to the club, if Vincenzo Montella leaves in the summer.
Montella has been linked with a number of Italian top flight jobs this season, including AC Milan and Napoli, and looks nearly certain to leave the club in the coming months.
According to La Nazione, Fiorentina are already eyeing replacements for the highly-rated coach, and have sent out feelers to determine Spalletti’s future intentions.
If the plan to appoint Spalletti fails to happen, then the Viola will go for Sassuolo boss Eusebio Di Francesco, Empoli boss Maurizio Sarri and Parma coach Roberto Donadoni as alternatives.
