Fiorentina are lining up a possible move for Torino’s Matteo Darmian in a bid to bolster their squad this summer.

Darmian, who has had an impressive past 18 months, could leave the Granata for Florence after four years at the club.

According to La Nazione, the 25-year-old is a target of coach Vincenzo Montella that could spell a new resurgence of talent at the Viola.

The Italian has played 29 games so far this season for Torino, as well as cementing a place in the National team for the Azzurri, so a move to Fiorentina is not too far fetched.

The competition for the versatile defender is high however, and Montella could face a number of other coaches looking to add Darmian to their ranks for the new campaign.

Torino have informed Fiorentina of the interest from other outlets, and will likely have to table a substantial deal for a transfer to be considered.
