With coach Vincenzo Montella yet to confirm whether he will remain on the Fiorentina bench, the Viola hierarchy are preparing for a far ranging summer clear out of their squad ahead of next season.

Ten first team players currently have contracts expiring next week or else they are on loan deals which are coming to an end when the league season concludes on Sunday. As a result, the Tuscan’s could be set for major changes over the summer transfer window as they attempt to take their side to the next level and achieve Champions League qualification.

The Corriere Fiorentino reports that Mounir El Hamdaoui, Andrea Lazzari, Alberto Aquilani and Juan Manuel Vargas are unlikely to be offered new deals and will depart from the Stadio Artemio Franchi, joining Neto and Jasmin Kurtic who have both already confirmed they will be plying their trade elsewhere come August.

Meanwhile, Micah Richards, Aleandro Rosi, Octavio and Alessandro Diamanti are all set to return to their parent clubs, having failed to convince Fiorentina to make their loan deals into permanent transfers.

The Viola may also attempt to move Mario Gomez on from the club following another difficult season in Florence. The club could save an estimated €20 million on wages if they were to remove the German internationalist from the books.
