Fiorentina could turn to Atalanta veteran German Denis to reinforce their strike-force for next season.
The 33-year-old Argentinian international has been a prolific marksman for the Orobici since moving from Udinese in 2012, but could seek new pastures in the summer.
La Nazione report that Fiorentina are searching for a deputy for the injury-prone Giuseppe Rossi, and are still unsure whether to make Alberto Gilardino’s loan move into a permanent one.
The Viola’s primary objective remains Chievo Verona poacher Alberto Paloschi, but are looking at other avenues as well.
Denis’ name has popped up as a possible target, and with Atalanta director Pierpaolo Marino likely to depart the club, the veteran may follow in his footsteps.
Denis has netted eight goals in 31 appearances this season.
