Gonzalo Higuain NapoliThe future of Napoli hitman Gonzalo Higuain is set to be discussed after the club’s final game of the season on Sunday night.

The Argentine is rumoured to be unsettled at the Partenopei, citing displeasure at the team’s performances and league standing, and may have his situation clarified by the end of the weekend.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the player’s agent, brother Nicolas Higuain, will be in attendance for Napoli’s fixture against Lazio, and will indulge in a meeting with president Aurelio De Laurentiis after the final whistle.

Reportedly, De Laurentiis has already decided his stance on the player, valuing him at €60 million.

At least two clubs are believed to have registered firm interest in the former Real Madrid striker’s services, with English Premier League side Arsenal currently vying with La Liga’s Atletico Madrid for a breakthrough.

Reports suggest that even should Higuain assert his commitment to remaining in Naples, a bid which matches the asking price could still be accepted.

Higuain has 33 goals from 68 Serie A appearances for Rafael Benitez’s side.
