AC Milan vice president Adriano Galliani has once again fuelled speculation upon his arrival in Madrid that he is keen to bring back former head coach Carlo Ancelotti to the Rossoneri.
Filippo Inzaghi is all but certain to lose his job after just one season at the helm of the Milan giants and Ancelotti, whose own future remains unclear with Real Madrid, has been linked with a return to the club he guided to two Champions League titles.
“Ancelotti is a legend in Milan,” Galliani told reporters on his arrival at Madrid’s Barajas airport.
“Perhaps I will stay until September and visit other cities like Seville,” he jokingly added.
“Do I want [Sevilla head coach] Unai Emery? I do not know, I do not know. Then I will go to Valencia.
“Have I spoken with Ancelotti? My Italian phone doesn’t work in Spain.
“We have a great relationship with Real Madrid and [Florentino] Perez.”
Galliani then refused to be drawn into answering who his number one target is.
“Who do I prefer, Ancelotti or Emery? I won’t say, I have many great friends at Real.”
