Adriano Galliani AC MilanAC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has admitted he will be flying to Madrid on Monday in order to speak to potential Rossoneri coach Carlo Ancelotti.

It is expected that the Italian tactician will be removed from his post as Real Madrid boss, and Milan have apparently made him number one choice to replace current incumbent Filippo Inzaghi.

“Tomorrow [Monday] I am going to Madrid,” Galliani told Sky Sport Italia.

“We are two big clubs who are also friends, though it is said I am going to meet with Ancelotti.

“I didn’t say I am going to see Ancelotti. I am going, let’s see what happens.

“President [Silvio] Berlusconi wants to return AC Milan to the glorious days of the past, as it is sad to see Milan in this position in the [Serie A] table.

“We must roll up our sleeves this summer if we want to take Milan back to the top of football. First in Italy, then in Europe.”

When questioned about how Milan will spend any money in the summer, Galliani was coy.

“Pending the takeover, or not, the resources will not be missing,” he stated. “They will come from those who have put them up until now, as in the last 29 years. That is Silvio Berlusconi.”
