Roma v GenoaGenoa coach Gian Piero Gasperini says his side deserved at least a draw in their 2-0 defeat to Roma on Sunday afternoon.

A first-half strike by Seydou Doumbia and a late Alessandro Florenzi wonder-goal was enough to see off the Grifone, but Gasperini is adamant his side deserved at least a point.

“I thought we could have at least drawn the match, we were dangerous,” Gasperini told Sky Sport Italia.

“We gifted them the first goal, but then we played an excellent match, which is a pity.

When you play three games in a week you have to reserve your energy, but the team did well although we made a few mistakes on their goals.

“Perotti? His absence was heavily felt. He is a key player for us with his personality and technique. But we’ll have to do without him for the last four matches.”
