Atalanta are to donate a portion of the gate receipts from Saturday’s match with AC Milan to the Nepal disaster relief appeal.
Nepal was struck by a devastating earthquake in April which killed more than 8,000, and injured a further 23,000, with many thousands more made homeless.
“Atalanta BC would like to announce that through [charity organisation] Caritas Diocesana Bergamasca, it will donate 10 percent of the net box office takings of the match against Milan to the people of Nepal hit hard by the earthquake.”
The club are also calling on more fans to turn up to the game in order to ensure as much cash as possible can be donated.
