Genoa centre-back Sebastian De Maio is attracting strong interest from Serie A champions Juventus as they look to bolster their defence.

The highly-rated Italian-French stopper has proved integral in the formation of solid foundations during a successful campaign for the Grifone throughout his 31 league outings so far.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, De Maio is being followed very closely by the Bianconeri with a view to a summer switch, despite the presence of several other accomplished central defenders within the Juventus ranks.

Formerly of Brescia, the imposing 28-year-old also experienced loan spells with Celano and Frosinone before pitching up at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.

He has since made 54 Serie A appearances for Genoa, scoring three goals, in forcing his way into the starting line-up on a regular basis this term.
