Torino captain Kamil Glik has reiterated that he wants to remain with the club beyond the summer, and would like to thank the fans in their final home match against Cesena next weekend.

The Granata lost 3-0 to AC Milan in Serie A on Sunday and despite being a man up for a portion of the game, never really looked like threatening the home side.

“It is too bad, we did what we could but we are running out of gas,” Glik told reporters.

“The season is not over yet and against Cesena we would like to have a full stadium to say thanks to the fans.

“We had a great season and we are all very much satisfied.

“It has been a very positive year, despite losing a few games.

“I will always remember some of the results from this season, from the win in Bilboa to the derby.

“Now we must focus on the final match in front of our fans.”

The 27-year-old has been in impressive form this season, bagging seven goals in all competitions, which has lead to interest from the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

When questioned on his future, the defender made it clear he wants to stay with Torino.

“I have not had any offers from anyone,” he stated. “The transfer window opens on July 1, and as I said I hope to stay [with Torino].”
