Brazilian midfielder Felipe Melo could make a dramatic return to Italian football this summer, with a move to Inter being reported.

It is suggested that the 31-year-old fancies a move back to Italy, having left Juventus back in 2013 for Galatasaray.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Melo is interested in working with coach Roberto Mancini again who worked with him in Turkey, and could be the selling point to secure the midfielder for the Nerazzurri.

Mancini had tried to sign the Brazilian in January, but contract talks stalled but it is possible for the deal to re-open this summer.

However, Melo currently receives €6.5 million per season, a sum Inter could not match given their funds, and thus the only barrier stopping the midfielder joining the Nerazzurri.

The country is not new to Melo, who spent a season at Fiorentina before signing for the Bianconeri, which he remained for four seasons, including a superb performance against Milan in 2010/11.
