Inter could make a move for Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel during the summer transfer window.

Skrtel’s current contract with Liverpool ends next summer, so the Reds might not want the Slovakian to leave for free in 2016.

According to Fcinternews.it, Liverpool and Skrtel will negotiate for a possible contract extension later this week, and Inter are reported to take advantage to sign the 30-year old if the negotiation ends in failure.

Skrtel has been a key member of his manager Brendan Rodgers’ side at Liverpool, featuring in 33 league games this season for the Premier League giants.

Skrtel joined Liverpool from Russian side Zenit Saint Petersburg in 2008, and has scored 15 league goals in 220 appearances for the Premier League side.
