Inter look set to miss out on Chelsea defender Filipe Luis despite the Brazilian looking likely to leave the English side this summer.

Nerazzurri coach Roberto Mancini is set to continue his overhaul of the squad at the end of the season and Luis would fill a key weakness for the club on the left flank, but it appears they have missed out on signing the player.

According to reports from The Daily Express, the Brazilian has opted to return to former club Atletico Madrid just a year after moving to Stamford Bridge.

It is mentioned that the 29-year-old could be used as a makeweight in order for Jose Mourinho to land Madrid’s star man Koke.

€40 million is the figure that the Blues would have to part with alongside the services of Luis in order to land their man, thus pricing Inter out for the left-back.
