Inter are still locked in negotiations with Samir Handanovic as the goalkeeper is set to enter into the final year of his contract.
Negotiations between the two parties have been on going for some time, however it is suggested that the Slovenian international may see his future away from the Nerazzurri as he has ambitions of playing in the Champions League.
Roma are on the hunt for a goalkeeper as they look to strengthen ahead of next season and, according to Sky Sport Italia, are monitoring the Slovenian’s situation.
As talks continue to falter, Roma have been assured of participation in the qualifying phase of the Champions League after Napoli fell to defeat against Juventus on Saturday.
However, it is also understood that Inter are prepared to raise their offer to Handanovic to include certain bonuses in order to compensate for the fact they cannot offer him top level European football, as they again missed out on their target of qualifying for the Champions League.
