Filippo Inzaghi has refused to criticise the performance of his player in the wake of their heavy defeat against Napoli on Sunday night.
The Rossoneri fell to a crushing defeat after Mattia De Sciglio was sent off within fifty seconds paving the way for the Partenopei to secure a hard fought win despite their one man advantage and after the game he did not want to be harsh on De Sciglio and his team-mates.
“The game hinged on the dismissal of De Sciglio after twenty seconds [sic],” Inzaghi told Sky Sport Italia after the game.
“I can’t blame anyone for what happened in the game and for the spirit they showed.
“What can I tell De Sceglio? He is an international, he hasn’t played for long and he needs to be careful.
“A yellow card should have beenĀ just this time, because to play with ten men after just a few seconds is tough.
“I sorry because we didn’t deserve this setback, it was the fastest ever dismissal.
“I liked the spirit I saw tonight, we have to end the season well and in the last few games I will give the youth players a chance.”
