AC Milan coach Flippo Inzaghi believes the club have a solid base on which to build upon, following his side’s 3-1 victory over Atalanta, and assured fans he is ready to continue as boss.

It is widely rumored that Inzaghi will be replaced in the coming weeks after a disastrous season with the Rossoneri, with Milan in discussions with Carlo Ancelotti.

“We’ve finished the season well and the clubs we have a good base for the future,” Inzaghi told Rai Sport.

Inzaghi was then asked about the future of Milan and if Ancelotti will be taking his job.

“He’s the best coach in the world [Ancelotti],” Inzaghi stated. “I still have a contract, I’m ready to continued and I think I can coach this team.”

“This was a key year for my growth, and I’ll always thank Milan for the opportunity I was given.”
