Juventus defender Andrea Barzagli is in doubt for the Champions League final following an injury.
During La Vecchia Signora’s match against Napoli, Barzagli picked up a knock to his right hamstring, and reports show that it could have a big effect and make him miss the tie on June 6 against Barcelona in Berlin.
“Barzagli will immediately undergo therapy and his condition will be monitored daily so that he has the best chance of recovering before the Champions League final,” a club statement read.
Although recovery is a possibility, if the 34-year-old does miss the game, it will have an effect on the whole team as he is a critical part of their defence.
Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri would be expected to use the formation 4-3-1-2 against the Spaniards if Barzagli is no available.
