Having already secured the signing of Palermo’s Paulo Dybala, Juventus will no longer be able to afford to sign Paris Saint-Germain’s Edinson Cavani.

Dybala, underwent a medical this week ahead of his €40 million move and despite rumours of the Bianconeri being on the trail of the 28-year-old Cavani, they will not be making a move.

A key factor in dropping their pursuit of the Uruguayan, according to SportMediaset, is that the hierarchy have been able to convince Carlos Tevez to stay at the club for the next season, and delay his return to his boyhood side Boca Juniors.

Despite his impressive strike ratio in Paris, 55 goals in 95 appearances, Cavani has often been left frustrated playing second fiddle to Zlatan Ibrahimovic and after just two seasons and two French League one titles he is ready to move on from the club.

  1. Good decision. We need TYevez for 1 more season as Dybala nad morata learn the ropes. Besides, Cavani overpriced and has low resale value and cant get any better than he is. We would only have bought him in an emergency i.e if tevez opted to leave.

Better splash the cash for 20 mill Darmian. Rugani on a cheap, Khadira for 0, Dybala for 32 and Darmian for 20 mill is a decent campaign.
