Lazio forward Filip Djordjevic has admitted he is thrilled to have made his comeback after having been sidelined by injury for three and a half months.

The Serbian forward fractured his right ankle against AC Milan in January and came on for the final half hour in Lazio’s draw against Atalanta on Sunday, and as well as being delighted to be playing again he reiterated the Aquile’s desire to finish second in Serie A.

“I’m back on the pitch after three and a half months and I am thrilled to be a part of the squad again,” the 27-year-old told reporters after the draw.

“I feel good, my ankle is fine and I’m happy.

“Both Roma and Napoli have difficult fixtures, like us, but right now we are only thinking of [our next game] Inter.

“We are one point away from second place, and we want to get it.

“I have worked hard in recent months and I want to give my best for the team until the final [game of the season].”
