Despite looking set to sign for Juventus this Summer, it would appear that Premier League club Liverpool have not yet given up on enticing Fiorentina goalkeeper Norberto Neto away from the Serie A champions.

Out-of-contract at the end of the current campaign, the 25-year-old has confirmed that he will be walking away from the Viola and appeared almost guaranteed to sign for the Bianconeri.

However, according to the Daily Express, the Brazilian’s uncertainty regarding whether he can displace current Juventus number one Gianluigi Buffon has caused Liverpool to reignite their interest.

With coach Brendan Rodgers seemingly uncertain over the long-term suitability of current first-choice Simon Mignolet, the Anfield side had also identified Asmir Begovic of Stoke, but see the current Fiorentina custodian as a better option.
